What We Look For

When considering potential support, trustees look for:

  • Clear objectives and outcomes
  • Realistic budgets that prioritise delivery
  • Strong, committed leadership
  • Evidence that the work is being actively driven, not passively managed
  • An understanding of how the project might evolve, conclude, or hand over over time
  • Where relevant, projects that involve or benefit the local community

We are comfortable supporting projects that are early-stage or unconventional, provided there is clarity of intent and responsibility.

What We Don’t Fund

Given the Trust’s size and focus, we are unlikely to support:

  • Requests for unrestricted or ongoing core funding
  • Work with unclear outcomes or impact
  • General operational costs without a defined project context

This reflects the Trust’s scope and approach, rather than a judgement on the value of such work.
