What We Look For
When considering potential support, trustees look for:
- Clear objectives and outcomes
- Realistic budgets that prioritise delivery
- Strong, committed leadership
- Evidence that the work is being actively driven, not passively managed
- An understanding of how the project might evolve, conclude, or hand over over time
- Where relevant, projects that involve or benefit the local community
We are comfortable supporting projects that are early-stage or unconventional, provided there is clarity of intent and responsibility.
What We Don’t Fund
Given the Trust’s size and focus, we are unlikely to support:
- Requests for unrestricted or ongoing core funding
- Work with unclear outcomes or impact
- General operational costs without a defined project context
This reflects the Trust’s scope and approach, rather than a judgement on the value of such work.
